I use the solargraphy process to capture the sun on important days I don’t want to forget.

The sun is my memory.

This is the last 19 hours of sunlight of my grandfathers life.
My grandfather was my favorite person on the planet.

When I received the phone call that he has passed away I went outside into my back yard and picked up the two cameras from the ground. They were burning hot from the morning sun. I walked upstairs and slumped into my couch. I held one in each hand. I wept as I felt the warmth fade away, the last sunlight of his life.

3/3/2021 - 3/2/2022

My 35th Year of Life.

The year I lost both of my grandparents. The year I found true love. The year full of many accomplishments and personal growth after many years of hard work and effort. A year that I feel was a starting point to a “new” life.

The sun setting over the marina on the night of my brothers wedding.

July 2021.
I wore a pinhole camera on my person for the entire 3 week trip I took to Spain. The camera followed me from NJ to NYC to Madrid to Bilbao to the Ribadesella back to Bilbao to San Sebastion then Pamplona then Barcelona for the Experimental Photo Festival. It was attached to my backpack, my tote bag, on the dashboard of the rental car and pointed out the window of each bus and train.
